چکیده
Peanut is a crucial source of edible oil and nutrients. Five peanut genotypes' yield quality parameters were assessed to select superior genotypes. The experiment was conducted in Bangladesh Institute Nuclear Agriculture HQ's experimental field, Mymensingh-2202. Correlation study identified significant positive correlation pods plant-1, kernel weight shelling % with pod yield. Considering content, the genotype B6/282/80 performed best, 2.25t/ha 54.6% content. Oleic acid/Linoleic acid (O/L) ratio iodine content also higher B6/282/80, followed by B6/282/63. RM-Kha-19 contains maximum amount protein (32.42%), while crude fibre carbohydrate highest Binachinabadam-4. B6/282/64 possessed moisture (6.2%), had ash (2.35%). principal component analysis that first two components explained about 74.93% total variation. Biplot revealed B, fibre, B6/282/63 K, S, Fe, moisture, Genotype best for P Ca, Cu, N, Mg Zn RM-KHA-19 genotype. Combining all energy sources, provides energy, i.e., 628.4 Kcal/100g. studied traits, has potential be set on multilocational trial detection stability as new variety.

GENETIC DIVERGENCE IN GROUNDNUT (Arachis hypogaea L)
Comprising 34 groundnut genotypes an experiment was conducted in a randomized block design with three replication at the Research farm of Regional Agricultural Research Station, BARI, Hathazari, Chittagong during Rabi season (December 2009 to April 2010) for estimation of the multivariate analysis of divergence. The genotypes were grouped into five clusters. Cluster III contained the highest nu...
متن کاملPeanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Omics and Biotechnology in China
Peanut is one of the most important crops in the world, both for vegetative oil and as a protein source. Biotechnology approaches provide promising ways to increase peanut productivity, either through improved seed quality or stress resistance. These approaches require the identification of genes that control important agronomical traits, the understanding of gene regulation and metabolic pathw...
متن کاملThe Proteins of the Peanut, Arachis Hypogaea.
The ravages of the boll weevil have made it unprofitable to grow cotton in various sections throughout the South. In many regions where the growing of cotton has been decreased, peanuts are now being grown as a supplementary crop. This has caused a large increase in the production of peanuts in the United States. A number of mills which in the past produced cottonseed oil are now using their pr...
متن کاملRole of carbohydrate moieties in peanut (Arachis hypogaea) peroxidases.
The activities of a cationic (C.PRX) and an anionic peroxidase isolated from peanut (Arachis hypogaea)-cell suspension culture were drastically reduced when they were deglycosylated with glycopeptidase F or oxidized by 10 mM-periodate. In contrast with the controls, the deglycosylated or the oxidized peroxidases were much more susceptible to proteolytic degradation. In radiolabelling experiment...
متن کاملInduced variability in quantitative characters of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.)
Groundnut genotype AK-280 was treated with EMS 40 mM, 60 mM, gamma rays 30 kR, 40 kR, 50 kR and combination treatment of EMS 20 mM + gamma rays 20 kR. The observations on various quantitative characters were recorded in M2 generation. The flowering and maturity period was not much affected. For the character height of main axis genotype showed differential response to different treatments of mu...
